PREAMBLE
Science Abbey is established as a secular, global, interdisciplinary institution dedicated to the advancement of scientific knowledge, humanistic ethics, contemplative wisdom, and planetary responsibility. This Charter defines the identity, governance, obligations, and operating principles of the institution as it develops into a permanent intellectual and civic foundation for humanity.
SECTION I — MISSION AND PURPOSE
1.1 Mission Statement
Science Abbey seeks to advance human flourishing by integrating the best of scientific inquiry, psychological maturity, ethical philosophy, and contemplative practice.
1.2 Organizational Purposes
The institution shall:
- Promote scientific literacy and research.
- Advance ethical humanism and global civic responsibility.
- Support the Order of Science as a secular scientific humanist order.
- Provide education through the Global Civic Curriculum (GCC).
- Support global intelligence and human-rights monitoring through NAVI.
- Coordinate global alignment efforts through the Global Coordination Program (GCP).
- Promote the development of psychologically mature, scientifically informed, ethically responsible, and socially constructive individuals and communities.
SECTION II — INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURE
2.1 Pillar Organizations
Science Abbey consists of five autonomous yet coordinated divisions:
- The Order of Science
- The Royal Art Society
- Global Civic Curriculum (GCC)
- Neutral Analytical Vigilance Institute (NAVI)
- Global Coordination Program (GCP)
Each maintains independent programmatic authority within the guidelines of this Charter.
2.2 The Office of the Founder
The Founder serves as:
- Chief Architect of institutional philosophy
- Steward of long-term strategic orientation
- Guardian of integrity and mission coherence
SECTION III — GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK
3.1 The Board of Directors
The Board oversees:
- Ethical standards
- Financial integrity
- Organizational continuity
- Legal compliance
- Public accountability
Board members serve staggered terms to ensure stability.
3.2 Council of Scholars and Practitioners
An advisory body composed of experts across the sciences, humanities, governance, psychology, and contemplative traditions.
3.3 Executive Directors
Each division appoints an Executive Director responsible for:
- Operational leadership
- Program development
- Annual reporting
- Compliance with cross-institution standards
SECTION IV — OPERATING PRINCIPLES
4.1 Secular Neutrality
Science Abbey does not endorse any religion or ideology.
4.2 Evidence-Based Decision-Making
All institutional positions and educational materials must be based on empirical evidence and expert analysis.
4.3 Human Rights and Dignity
The institution recognizes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as baseline ethical law.
4.4 Transparency
Decision-making processes, finances, and governance policies shall be publicly accessible.
SECTION V — PUBLIC OBLIGATIONS
The Science Abbey commits to:
- Providing accurate public education.
- Counteracting misinformation and pseudoscience.
- Supporting democratic, science-based, secular humanist governance.
- Contributing to global conflict prevention and civic peace.
- Offering leadership development and ethical training.
SECTION VI — AMENDMENTS
This Charter may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the Board of Directors, with advisory input from the Council of Scholars.

This document is hereby adopted as the official Charter and Governance Framework of the Science Abbey.
